Someone once told me that the average lifetime of an average life insurance policy is 6 years, I think that this is correct. Because of this 99% of life insurance policies are built since the reform of 2017 as adjustable premium policies and not fixed price based. Both of these facts create a life insurance policy that keeps climbing in its price in a very steep way every year or every two or three years and really reaching almost imaginary sums at later ages such as 50, 60 and 70. Usually children grow up by that time and you can cancel the policy but sometimes people have kids when they are older or they want to take out a mortgage and they need life insurance for it and then they have to pay the ridiculously high monthly premium. There is one company that I know of who has combined its discounts to create a fixed premium for 15 years' time but most people choose to fill out a health declaration every few years and start from the lowest premium possible using the relatively free market they have at their disposal. This method usually saves the most money throughout the years, but it has a few flaws: If the person insured in the life insurance suffers a worsening in his general health status it would be difficult for them to buy new cheaper life insurance and he will have to continue paying the life insurance if he must. New life insurance requires a new health declaration and those always need to be filled out with increased notice to questions to not give the insurance company any reasons to reject the claim in the future. Life insurance does not cover for suicide in the first year of the policy.
